Stansbury Island Petroglyphs
I had plans to go on a hike on Saturday but it was canceled so it left me free. My wife and I logged onto climb-Utah and decided to go check out the petroglyphs on Stansbury Island. We left in the afternoon and drove out to the island. I had my GPS and some instructions. The hike wasn't hard to the first panel. We discovered the glyphs on a rocky ridge.

Here's the pics
We then decided to walk the hill side to the second panel. It was less impressive than the first but still pretty cool.
We decided to take what a thought was the easier way back but made the mistake of crossing the canal. When we got back to the car we could find no way to get to out with out getting wet or back tracking for a mile. So we decided to ford the briny canal. It was chest deep but not all that cold. Very salty though. We were soaked with no change of clothes. We laughed about it. It was fun and close to home.
