anything in the Phoenix area?

Heading to Phoenix to visit family, and am wondering if there are any canyons nearby that could be done as a day trip.

I did some searches, but I'm not finding beta for any technical canyons in the area.

There are a few technical hikes in the area but none that I would do in June or July. Get Todd Martin's book "Arizona Tecnical Canyoneering".

The West Clear Creek canyons are in season right now. Bear, Wilbur, Sundance etc. They are a 2 hour drive outside of Pheonix. As Taylor said, get Todd's book for beta.

There are a LOT more canyons in the Central AZ area, but it is way too hot to do most of them right now!
