    Snow Basin Conditions

Just got back from riding up Wheeler Canyon to Maples Campground. Trails are all dry and good to go! It even looked good higher up towards Sardine Peak and the Ogden Overlook. Right below where the trail splits for horses and bikes there appears to be a new trail being cut in. Anybody heard anything about this?

I haven't heard about any new trail either, but the trails are all open and dry, good to go!

This is the new trail being cut.

That's not "being cut". If that's the spot I'm thinking, it's near where the maples trail splits for horses and bikes. I'm not sure why it was cut in but I'm pretty sure it's being reclaimed and is not intended to be a new trail.

Yes it's the one by the bike/horse split. If it is being reclaimed, they must have cut it and changed their minds pretty quick cause I don't remember it being there last summer.

It was more likely an access path cut for utilities than a trail.
