East Fork of White Roost Canyon

Day two of our trip to the Roost and my dad and I went down the East Fork of White Roost Canyon. It was very tight yet very fun. With a total of 4 rappels and a bunch of down climbs. The water level was low with every pool ankle deep except the last pool before the exit that was waist deep but easily stemmed over.

After the last rappel you emerge into a larger canyon with soaring walls. You hike out, pass the West Fork of White Roost on your right as you head toward the exit, turn right and head up the old cattle trail. This canyon is short and sweet!

It looks like you had a good time. White Roost is certainly a fun one. How did you feel on that second rappel? I disliked it so much my friend just downclimbed it. I need to go back to see if I enjoy that way any better.

Yeah the second rappel was a pain. After we got down we though that downclimbing it mightve been easier and better.
