Black Steer Canyon

I am planning to hike the Steve Allen White Canyon trip thisMay (Canyoneering 2 guide book) and I have two or three extra days to hike.(White Canyon to Long Canyon to Gravel Canyon.) My partner and I are both experiencedmountaineers but not so much canyoneering. Was wondering if Dark Canyon can beaccessed from Black Steer Canyon. We would leave Long Canyon as in the guidebook, then drop into Black Steer instead of Gravel Canyon, hike into Dark, a dayto explore then back out Black Steer to Gravel Canyon as per guide book. Ifnot, what are some good technical slot canyons in the area for two older butfit mountaineers who are new to Canyoneering?Thanks!!
