    Red Rock Canyons Ideas

    Hey Fellow Canyoneers:

I will be in the Las Vegas Area and looking for a canyon to do at the end of April.

I'm looking for recommendations in the Red Rock Area.

I'll be going solo and doing it on a Monday

I'm fairly experienced, with Spry, Subway, Neon, Yankee Doodle, Ringtail, U-Turn, and several So Cal Canyons under my belt.

I've taken several courses including rescue and rigging, and advance technical.

I don't want to spend all day wondering if I'm in the right canyon as I have a long drive home at the end.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Mike Nelson

Laura and I did Hidden Falls a couple years back. We enjoyed it and I would consider doing it solo if I were in LV. I highly recommend you check it out.

Hidden Falls is probably your best bet if you're soloing. Just be aware that you're either going to have a long-ish approach if you park at the bottom, or you're gonna have a rough drive to get near the start and then have an uphill slog at the end to get back to your car.
