Zion/St.George area on President's Day
Hi all,
My daughter is planning a weekend trip from SLC down to St. George on President's Day weekend with plans to do some red rock hiking in Zion or other areas near St. George. As that is still a little on the winter's side of spring, I told her I'd ask on the board here for any suggestions/advice on what is typically accessible at that time of the year (assuming a big snowstorm doesn't blow through).
I imagine Red Cliffs and Snow Canyon are probably good most anytime of the year. What trails in Zion are normally able to be hiked in February? We also love the slickrock in East Zion, but I don't know what conditions are typically like there this time of year.
Thanks for any help.
Rick
