Avoiding Snow -
We are planning a canyon trip in a few weeks, and was curious what the latest snow reports were, and how far south we needed to go to increase our changes of success. Was in Arches last weekend, and that was a little too snowy. Any thoughts on either North Wash area, Capital Reef area, or closer to lake Powell?
Thanks!

Capitol Reef has more snow that Arches right now.
We were in Swett Creek just over a week ago and there wasn't that much snow, but there is still some around. The closer you get to Lake Powell, the less there was.Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

North Wash is fairly clear. Still some snow sitting on North Facing locations. This makes some approaches and exits a bit dicey if it is in the shade, but not un-doable. I know groups that have done the middle and West forks of Leprechaun over the past couple of weeks with no issues. 50 degree temps right now are not uncommon during the day.
