From Camera to PC - Wireless Transfer
All kinds of cameras are going wireless these days, but Eye-Fi made cameras wireless before it was cool. The company's SD cards let users transfer pics wirelessly and effortlessly, and its more recent Mobi cards allow transfers directly to smartphones and tablets running iOS or Android.
You can now add Windows tablets to that list since Eye-Fi just launched its Windows receiver software for the Mobi cards. The software is still in beta and Mobi users can download it for free, although Eye-Fi says final pricing hasn't been determined.
The receiver software runs in the Windows desktop environment, so it won't work with Windows RT devices. It's really meant to give Mobi users the option of relaying their pics to a Windows laptop even without a Wi-Fi network. That way, if you need to perform some quick editing to a pic on the spot, you'll be able to do it on a machine that can run full Photoshop.
Setting up the software only requires inputting your Eye-Fi Mobi card's 10-digit activation code. Once the Mobi and receiver software are up and running, the card will transfer pics automatically, as they're taken. Again, the connection is direct, so no Wi-Fi network is needed.
Eye-Fi says a Mac version is coming soon.

I just bought a Samsung 14mp camera that's really nothing more than an android device. The camera syncs brilliantly via wireless to my Note3; makes Selfies so much easier!
