    Water Canyon Arch

My second attempt to see Water Canyon Arch in the Canaan Mountain area by Hildale, Ut. The first time I went solo and got pretty dang lost. So this time I brought reinforcements, my husband Pete, who has a better sense of direction than I do. The hike is about 11 miles with 2900 feet elevation gain according to Bo and Tanya's info. Starts out on an ATV trail following Short Creek then into Squirrel Canyon. First landmark is the "Beehive"

    Looks like a beautiful hike.

I don't think you'd catch me walking out on that arch either.

Nice! Every time I go to water canyon, I always wondered if there was a trail to that arch. Looks way thicker than I thought it would be. :)
Your safety is not my responsibility.

Nice report...and brave of both of you!

That's been on my "Plan B" list for some time; maybe next May when I visit southern Zion again.

I've also heard it called "Eye of God Arch" and really like that name.
