Double Entendre - Ticaboo 10/17/2013
Disclaimer....
I already posted this over at cough!! Canyon Collective Cough!!
I added some pictures to make it a little different
We did just the upper half of Double Entendre. That would be the Upper Single Entendre of Double Entendre and climbed out before the upper section of the lower Single Entendre of Double Entendre. One can do the canyon both ways. You could hike down to the top of the lower section where we climbed out and easily drop in there.
The upper section has the spirit of Mae West (a famous double entendre-er) in there.
This upper section of the canyon can be done in about 2 hours. It has a few squeezing down climbs and off the deck stemming sections. Partner assists work well in here. We took slim packs with no ropes, just some webbing for hand lines and most of us wore elbow and knee pads. I have a few knee raspberries in spite of the knee pads. It is dark and kind of tight in some places. This is a fun canyon. The great stemmers among us managed to stay dry.
Thanks to Monica and Matt M for pictures and thanks to Dave, Kari, Matt M., Matt C., Forrest and Monica for a great time.
Thanks to Luke at BluuGnome.com for the canyon beta write up.
