but was a trouble for SAR because they did not have info about it
    apparently they called an "outsider"
    and was not Bo
    but could still be grotto
that Tom called "I did it so you do not need to"
aka less than 1 star canyon

Ah, but Kody (2065toyota) knows the secret handshake, so he is IN!

The Canyon was Grotto Canyon, for which all necessary information is in The Book.

How they got to Grotto Canyon when looking for Hidden Canyon is one question - the heads of the canyons are about 0.4 miles apart. They were following Luke's directions. I have tried to follow Luke's directions on a different canyon approach without a GPS, and we did not find the canyon - so I think his directions are difficult to follow without GPS.

People are advised that when the canyon does not match the description, you are advised to not enter / continue down the canyon - because you are likely in the wrong place. I know, I know - I am a beta snob. I place a high value on competence. I have this crazy idea that you should be able to complete the canyon with the resources you have at hand, and that, funny as it may seem, if the canyon you just started down does not match the description, you might not have enough rope to get down it.
