    High Uintas North Slope trip

Better late than never, I went in at the West Fork of the Black Fork River for a few days in late July. Camped at gorgeous Dead Horse Lake, then over the pass and down by Phinney Lake area, dayhiked to the falls on the Fall Creek trail. Had some Achilles tendon problems so went back up and cut short some exploring off trail in the Head of Rock Creek area. Last camp by Continent Lake, where the fish were hitting fast and furious. A little rain every day but not too much wind or thunderboomers. I offtrailed it to Dead Horse Pass to go back ( not recommended, steep scree like stuff with a backpack forever) then camped in Buck Pasture to watch the animals. Mosquitos were sort of bad, not terrible. Did not like seeing all the dead trees in that sector. When a fire comes it will be bad there. Also back from Dead Horse Lake several pile of human Sh$$t that some lazy jerks did not even bother to bury. If I personally catch someone doing that my boot will be up their A&& so they won't have to worry about sitting down for a while.
