CUT-PRICE MAZE: CANYONLANDS NP - looking for at least 1 to join us on a 6-day tour
CUT-price tour! In a last bid to try & get a 3rd we are willing to subsidise anyone joining us by contributing $300 of their tour costs because for various reasons we may not get another opportunity to do this tour in future. Thanks for the good suggestions so far for alternative plans, but each doesn't quite work for what we want so ideally we'd still like to use Navtec.

Looks like a killer trip. The maze is the best...u can always get dropped at Spanish bottom and backpack from there..

I did think of that, but if I wanted to camp at Maze Overlook it would mean hauling my entire pack up the canyons and the steep trail and scrambles up to the overlook and back down, rather than having it easy with Navtec and just a day pack. Also, I've done lots of independent long day hikes and backpacks, but not too keen to go it alone in the Maze and Ernie's Country because as the names suggest could get disorientated as I've not used GPS and my map reading has never been put to too stern a test.
