    Scudder Lake

We were heading for Naturalist Basin but with the rain only made it to Scudder lake. 2.5 miles in we hunkered down in the rain and after a bit of wor got the wet wood to burn and had fire. We slept good and woke up to blue skies. Did a little fishing and had some breakfast. By mid morning the skies grew dark and we hiked out. As always antime spent in the Uintas is a good time!

I thought that there wasn't any fish in Scudder Lake. You didn't happen to catch any/get some nibbes did you?
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

    Maybe that's why I didn't catch anything

There was a loose horse there around the 1st of August when I rode into Four Lakes Basin. I checked around and couldn't find any humans in the area. I suspect the horse had gotten loose and wandered. I tried to lead it out. But it wouldn't move. Appeared to have foundered on all the green grass in the area and was having trouble moving. So I left it and reported it to the rangers. But they didn't seem to worried about it. I've wondered if somebody found their lost horse or if the rangers came and got it. I guess you didn't see a brown and white paint hanging out around the lake did you?
