    Lost GoPro?

Well, I hope not, but if you're using it as much as me, chances are you'll part ways with it sometime.

No matter how careful YOU are, you might hand it off to somebody to shoot some footage, and they'll interpret "waterproof" as "floating" too.

This was advised by a few here and I finally took the 30 second job of writing the text file. I advise you do the same. Ask for the footage back, maybe you get the camera. If you only get the card in the mail, it'll be a great excuse to get the newest Hero3

I put this document right in the root folder of the card.

Always a good idea. However, people have to remember that if they format the camera's memory card via the camera itself or computer - they will need to put that file back on.

Good point. I rarely format. Once I'm in the card and dragging the files over to the PC, I just hit select All and delete from within.

I put in a little slip of paper into the waterproof case with the same info on.

I do that with my luggage on flights too (a bigger piece of paper of course!).
