07/13/13 - Keyhole, Zion

Guess I'm on a TR spree, eh? hehe. It's a 3-day weekend for me so I gotzzz some time to get caught up with some past projects.




Many weekends ago (07/13-07/14), Jeff Guest and I were in Zion because we were finally able to utilize the grand-prize package offered from Z.A.C back in 2010. And instead of a 3-day canyoneering course, we countered with 2 Imlay Backpacks as well as a trip through Eye of the Needle (yes, a TR with pics and a AWESOME vid are coming), and of which, only Z.A.C. can guide through legally. Eye of the Needle is on private land and the Bird family has only authorized ZAC to do it.

Anywhooos......Keyhole was a quick warmup canyon the day before so we decided go for it - especially since it rained 2 days before that. A full Keyhole - always a good time!

We downclimbed the first rap and only had one mandatory rap. It was great seeing the canyon full, which was then time well spent playing in the water and going down the waterslide.
