Dinosaur NM Free Camping
I'm looking to do Buckwater Draw this weekend. Any good free camping sites in the area?
Thanks in advance.

It is a little confusing. The paved road itself belongs to the national monument, which is why it is posted as no camping. Any dirt road leaving the paved road is actually available for public camping and there are several good sites. Make sure you are about 100 feet or more from the paved road and there shouldn't be a problem. County Road 16 has some good campsites.
PS, if you are short on time the South Fork is the best one. It's best to come in from Plug Hat Rock to do both (the approach is shorter).Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.
