    Death Hollow this weekend

This is a long-shot, but what the hay. Me and my friend Brit will be in Escalante this coming weekend and would love to do the sneak route of Death Hollow with someone who's familiar with it. It's definitely not something I'd like to attempt on our own so I'm hoping there are some friendly folks out there that would like to join us. We're both fit and fearless, but not as experienced climbing or route-finding.

    Thanks!

I'm probably too sensitive to the poison ivy to do Death Hollow this time of year (got a terrible case last time), but could do something like Boulder Creek which is not far east of Death Hollow.

Boulder Creek is a great one for summer and hot weather is not a problem since you are wet the whole time. The water is usually crystal clear and perfect temperature for summer swimming (some swims are mandatory if you do the entire canyon, but you can bypass one long swimming section-at the expense of missing a great slot).

The side slot has a keep pothole, but I'm not sure if it is full or not. The section of the slot with the keeper is optional as there is an alternate route.

There's some good side canyons to poke around as as well. It would be a two day trip and the camping area is next to some great swimholes.

If this interest you, let me know.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.
