    Pop-up Shade

With the high school mtn bike racing season about to begin (Go Sierra!) we decided it was time for a new pop-up shade. Our old shade was a piece of crap. This was by far the coolest shade we could find... go Utes!

They are $98 at my local Harmon's. They are a promotional item. I happen to know that Harmon's paid $93 for the pop-up so they are basically selling them at cost. They also have BYZoo.

FWIW- I was actually looking for a shade with a checker flag top but the cheapest I could find was about $170 plus shipping, which made it about $200.

You can buy the everyone has one blue top for about $80.

We'll be out on the salt for Bonneville Speedweek most of next week so I'll get to use mine than.

If you have never been to Speedweek it's a great time.....

    pack 4 buckets with you....

When setting up, hang a bucket, filled with sand/dirt/water, from each corner.

Basically the buckets can sit on the ground and you stretch some cordage from corners to bucket handles.
