Jennie Lake Trail, Boise National Forest
The wife and I have been trying to get out of Mountain Home to enjoy the mountains as much as we can. We hit up the Jennie Lake Trail in the Boise National Forest this last week, and decided it was definitely one of the best hikes we have done since being here. The trail was 9 miles round trip, with about 1800 feet elevation gain, and not a single soul on the trail but ours. It leads along a creek for a couple miles, then through a few wildflower blanketed meadows, and ends at the beautiful alpine Jennie Lake. And for you fisherman, it is thriving with trout, and they were going wild while we were there.
If you are wondering what my wife and I are doing in my Avatar... we are laughing at all you funny looking Bogleyites!
