Nebo Summit
Okay so ever since my fiance @Dustinh was a kid he's wanted to summit Nebo and ever since I moved here with him earlier this year, that's all I wanted too! So this past Saturday seemed like the perfect time...and it was! We were the 1st ones on the trail from Monument Trailhead. We started around 7a.m. and finished at 2p.m. This was the 1st time either of us had used trek poles and my goodness were they life savers on the way down! The first half of the trail I would say was a light stroll and pretty sure anyone, even if you're out of shape, could hike this.
Then from there it got progressively harder and steeper.
The knife edge ridge line that had originally been my biggest worry, was a lot more stable then I had imagined it in my head. Past the 1st smaller peak on your way to the summit, there are a few different light trails you can follow. I recommend the one to the left!!!! We went up that one and down the one other way (the west side of the ridge line). This really was a scramble on the way back to our original trail! It was overall a pretty secluded trail while running into really nice people on our way down from time to time.
If you want to see some of the videos on our way up and on the summit here are some videos:

Nice! Thanks for the TR! I've bushwacked most of the mountains around the SL valley, but haven't yet climbed Nebo. I assume there's a trail? I generally don't do trails.. but I did quite enjoy Lone Peak Wilderness..

There is a distinct trail until you start up the summit then there are a couple of vague trails at best. Scrambling is necessary, but even if trails aren't your thing you will definitely enjoy the view and trek up! Next time we are planning on hiking up the south side and see how that goes! Tomorrow we are hiking Santaquin Peak...again. I say again because we forgot a camera the first time but it's absolutely beautiful so i'm pumped to get back up there =)
