What happens when Bogley goes down..

My usual canyoneering experience starts with firing up my computer, and going onto Bogley.com. From there, I tell people that there's only 1 correct way of canyoneering. Forcing only my methods onto people... all the while, I ignore my horny, naked, ready-for-some-action SEXY girlfriend, who is staring seductively at me. I tell her she needs to wait, while I tell everyone on Bogley they suck, and they are all newbs. Give me more time to school them! Eventually she falls asleep, and i'm still bitching on the computer, laughing like a maniac.

However, Bogley seemed to have gone done for a few days. During these days I had gone crazy, as I couldn't do my normal canyoneering routine. So I decided it was time to go back to the old school methods of canyoneering. Where we actually go out, set ropes, and solve our problems. Here, we decided it was time for another first descent. So we packed up our gear, unraveled about 80 of webbing from our spool, and brought along about 600ft of ropes. Small pieces that were chopped from larger core shot ropes.

This particular canyon has no exits. Its one of those, where we go down, we would have to ascend every drop we do. I figured it is a route that is only about .5miles long, and a total of 500ft elevation loss. (It's what Google Earth had measured). So why not?

So the canyon had exactly the amount of ropes we brought. It was pleasantly surprising. The sun was blasting down on us. It felt good to be warm in a canyon for the first time in a while. Really fun, and the biggest drop was no more than 90ft. We broke it down into 2 rappels, so we could speed up the ascent. Lots of little arches, and pot holes. Including a super deep pothole-keeper (30ft).

In the end we found a great training route for "in field ascending". Took us only about 4-5hrs to do. We will be back here, and may even make a rope swing, into a plunge pool. Will keep posted on those plans. I also managed to satisfy my girlfriend. Maybe going back to the old school way of canyoneering isn't so bad. Have fun, and be safe!

Your GF and my wife could collaborate on some projects while we troll Bogley hardcore. Then everyone is happy!

Nice TR dude, looks like an amazing canyon. And so nice seeing so much foliage.
Your safety is not my responsibility.

Currently unnamed. This one we agreed Melissa will name it. Nothing comes to mind yet. It has to sound "cute and fun"

Kind of.. Tim was the photographer. So he isn't that great at it. It's the pic of me on rappel, after the domination hole. I'm bypassing the keeper. This canyon is actually down the ocean from the "everything entrance"
