Horshoe Trailhead - Time from 24

I am new to canyoneering... great fun! I have been monitoring the banter on this great forum for the last year (love it!)

I have my first question I am hoping you can help with: About how much time does it take to drive from the Highway 24 135.5 mile entrance to the Horseshoe Canyon Trailhead?

I'm thinking of hiking down to the Great Gallery with my family over spring break.

    Hi Cannon, welcome to Bogley!

It took us about 45 min to reach the information kiosk near Bluejohn, if I remember correctly. We were driving fast and the road was in really good shape that day.

So, I would budget an hour for your drive in. Most of the road is well maintained. But it's been a year or so since we've been there, so it might be different now.

It depends on how washboarded the road is, but I agree. 45 minutes to an hour.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

I was there last week. The road was in good condition and not washboarded at all.
