Tried to set my rear brake today

KTM's have this high Rear Break thing that is driving this noob nuts!
Took it out today after what felt right in the hight of lever for the rear break.
Got around the corner and it locked up on me in front of a cops house.
So there I am with the tool bag out working on getting the rear light to give me a sign.LOL

Got her down the road but still a bit woried. Idea is to be able to keep my boot to peg and use the rear break with some finess right?

So what the F am I doing wrong here?
If you want to ride let's ride and if you want an attitude well we just need to do some more ridding.

And the front breaks I love in the dirt but on the street they just about send me over the front. POGO style with my current suspension set up.

Compression? up front? Or am I just way to heavy with my front break?
