Idaho Steelhead 3/7/13-3/10/13
Had the chance to chase some Steelhead with some friends earlier this month in Northwestern Idaho. The weather was great for us all weekend long and we managed to land some nice fish. It always amazes me to think that these fish hatch 700 miles from the ocean, travel out to the ocean, live for a few years out there, and then return 700 miles back to where they hatched in order to spawn. It's such a cool feeling holding one of these fish and knowing where it's been. Here's some pics.

Cool pictures, I am headed there in April. Hopefully it will be warmer. Definitely a different way of fishing for these monsters. I have trouble trying to figure out which weird colored fly to present to steelhead.
