    "The Bible" on History Channel

There is a 5 part series playing. Each episode is 2 hours. I saw it on the other night and again tonight. It looks interesting and well done, but damn, 10 hours!

    Has anybody watched it?

I saw the first episode and thought it was OK, not great. I'll probably watch the series.

Almost as long as sacrament meeting.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Dude it was so funny though, I was laughing so hard. I think it was purely for entertainment value.

This is why religion is all based on faith. If you manage to suspend your faith for just a few moments this guy makes perfect sense!..

    and that is bad....

So I've been DVRing the new episodes Sunday and watching them Monday night when nothing else is on.

Anyhoo... Satan in the latest episode looks just like Obama, which I found pretty funny.

Also, after watching the first two episodes I noticed women are the cause of many of men's problems.... who would have guessed... hahaha.

That's because they drank Satan's kool-aid! And yeah - all those battles and killings......saw plenty of women in there wielding swords.

I dvr The Bible and Vikings on Sunday night.

I used to complain about all the lame 'reality-TV' on the history channel. Now the opposite complaint with faith-based-history. One more reason not to bother with that channel.

At 70 million total viewers so far, it's not doing all that bad

Yeah.... I'm guessing their ad rate has skyrocketed since the first episode.

Also.... from watching the show that Jesus fella appears to be a really nice chap ;-)
