climbing up a stuck up

what is your favorite way to climb up a stuck up? so of the ways i have suck and some ways are not bad at all. and i didn't see any post on this.

Don't stick your rope.

If you do and have no way of re-securing the rap side, cut your loses and move on.

If you don't have enough rope to finish a canyon, then it may be necessary to have someone ascend.

I've set up a mechanical advantage from below to pull a stuck rope.

Ascending a stuck rope, should be the last thing you try.

Other than that--I have no idea what a "stuck up" is....

I tend to try to ignore folks that are stuck up. Sometimes its fun to stick a fork in them, though.

I've had close calls, but have never had a rope stuck yet. Unless I was absolutely 100% sure that the rope was well anchored though, I wouldn't ascend it (and if I had to I used Petzl ascenders, but here are many methods that can be used to ascend a rope). If it wasn't secure, the proper procedure would be to do the canyon the next day and retrieve the rope, being careful to not stick another one. If you can't do that and the canyon is popular, post a thread and see if anyone else doing the canyon soon can get the rope.
