Caves (or Cavers) in St. George?
Some friends and I are going to St. George this weekend (Feb 8-10) and we want to go through some caves. Bloomington is already filled for the weekend and we don't really want to go to the lava tubes again. Does anyone know of either caves in the area or cavers who can help?
I've already talked to the Timp grotto but they're not super familiar with the area. I've also emailed one guy down in the area but I don't know if he'll respond in time.
Thanks!

That's interesting. I was unaware there was a limit on permits for Bloomington.
Only other one I know of is wayyyyy up past Cedar city, look up Cascade Falls I think. But it's not worth the long drive up there IMO, although the hike is amazing and the scenery getting there also. Plus it's knee to waste deep water and probably freezing solid right now.

Sorry wish I was better help.... Just trying to get my post count up so I can keep up with @RockgremlinYour safety is not my responsibility.

There's some bad air in Cascade cave, so you have to be a bit careful.

No go on cascade falls. There is 6' of snow on cedar mtn right now. You would have to snowshoe in like 8 miles one way just to get there.
We have done mammoth caves during the winter before. There would still be a little hiking to them, but they keep U14 and the Mammoth road to Panguitch open all winter
