It's -40F outside
Officially -36F downtown, but I have -40F (or C) on my thermometer (or -39.8F) at the house.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Man, that's rugged...now you know what it feels like to live in Alaska. People have to be real careful with their cars when it gets that cold. I've heard all kinds of nasty things happen to oil and fuel. It's not nearly that cold here in Denver, but I sure am glad I have a block heater in my work van, as it won't fit in the garage.
I'm sure people are taking precautions for that kind of thing...but it would still make me nervous. The end of the world for some...

It was so cold yesterday that I saw a group of teenagers and they had their pants pulled all the way up.

It was 80 F at Ubehebe Crater in Death Velley yesterday (give or take a few degrees). Just a little too hot to be hiking for my liking...

Re: It's -40F outside
80 degrees everyday this week in Maui. I think that it cooled down to 70 last night.
