Back from the Himalaya-a few pics.

Kessler (my 10 year old son) and I are back from the beautiful Himalaya. It was a great trip. We ended up climbing 12 peaks; 3 of them over 18,000 feet; 5 over 17,000 feet. A full trip report will follow. Here are some of the photos.

Unfortunately, it's had to tell the scale of the peaks from 2D photots. For example, the cliff pictured is 11,000 feet high:

We hope that you all had a nice Christmas/Holiday season as well.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

    Wow...

Nice pics, the full trip report will be welcome! Your kids are so priviledged to have the two of you as parents.

Pic No 1 shows your lad looking poorly; I hope he's better now! (Yes, I know, bad form, knuckles duly rapped)

What is the creature in Pic 7? Alligator?

    It's a really big crocodile.
