Going on a trip into bear country. Use Wasp spray for Bear Mace.
Best to stay away from Bears but when they get aggressive you may need to spray them. A number of tips in my video.

I respectfully disagree. I've spent a lot of time in bear country and to the best of my knowledge you can cross into Canada with bear spray in an approved canister.

Wasp spray has a different spray pattern (a stream, as opposed to a fog like bear spray) and has not been proven to be an effective deterrent against bears. It can also cause permanent blindness if sprayed in the eyes.

You can take bear spray into Canada, I just declared mine at the border. They look at it to make sure it isn't mace (anti personel) but that's it.
