Best way to mount gopro on my boat?
i have a trip down the grand in feb.. trying to figure what might be the best way to mount my gopro above the cargo for the look down river over my shoulder. additionally maybe a way to mount it on some type of bendable cable or something? let me hear some ideas.
But if I agreed with you, we would both be wrong.

I'm happy with rigging a tripod up somewhere behind the captain chair. Just make sure you tether the camera via strap in case you flip and that tripod comes loose, that way you keep your camera. @Alex will testify to that.
They sell the tripod mount, basically the GoPro mount with the 1/4 thread that will screw on there.

And here, try the pole mount out as well. Get a roll bar mount and clamp it on to various places on your frame
