Amazing Trailer for Canyoning Movie called "The Beginning"

What's everyone guess for the height of the jump at 55 secs? Looks around 200ft to me.

He appears to fall for 3 seconds which equates to about 45 meters. So, 150' or maybe a bit higher? My back hurts just watching...

Pretty close guess...according to the liner notes, its around 130 feet. Crazy long jump. I've seen just over a 100 (Cibecue in AZ). Thank goodness for the waterfall breaking the surface tension of the water.

Salto in Ticino is apparently the long drop.

Amazing Trailer for Canyoning Movie called "The Beginning"

Apparently the real difference between canyoneering and canyoning is the amount of backflips

Bear Grylls "back flipping" meets canyoneering. It's all about the marketing here. Getting down in style to sell more vids. ;-)

I agree, anything over 60' hurts.

Nice video though, fun to watch. Thanks for the link.

I dont get all the jumping. If that's what you want to do then go to a pool. Just my two cents....

Interesting mix of Parkour and canyoneering. Got to love the hybrid sports. Next thing you know, they will combine lingerie and football.

Geez, even the Polish kids are doin' it...

Someone (Dominik) posted this on facebook...some of the folks at the AIC will recall that one of the fellers did Bodando 2 sans rope. Scary. Talented or lucky? Ha ha...

I'm a young guy and full of rock climbing adrenaline, but this makes me pretty , and . I've jumped off cliffs up to 70 feet, but you shouldn't advertise it as part of a sport involving remote locations with limited rescue resources in many places. If you want to make money, don't put people in danger by making people think canyoning is an extreme risk activity. It's not sky diving. We use ropes.........

Its Europe. Folks are allowed to do "extreme risk activities" there.
