You do know that I never lost a toe clip till I started riding the AF trails with you right Garbanzo, acca, fourtycal?
    Can't wait till summer
If you want to ride let's ride and if you want an attitude well we just need to do some more ridding.

Do remember this REDSPECILIZED If you do get these boots get them atleast one size bigger than you would with anything else.
EX: I wear a size ten and bought a size 11 and with thin fox socks I still have a bit of trouble getting them on. Tends to keep my toes curled till I slam the heel to settle things out prior to buckling things down.

Bottom line if I had to do it again and I will.
I will make the 3.5 hr drive up to Rockymtn's warehouse and sit down and try them all on before buying.

That my friend is as good as advise as your going to get.

By the way, take your helmet with you and try on some goggs as well. Great time to do these sort of things.

In short ride with the best protective gear you can afford.
I have a pair of fox goggles that I can say with certain that have saved me an eye.
And because I had a pad on my bars I might just have saved myself some face surgery.

Re: Need any info on boots

Thanks for all the advise. To be honest I've never even wore real boots. I had a bike since I was 16, didn't have money for them while I was younger and just never rode with them. Don't Think I've even tried them on so I guess I don't know what I'm missing. I guess maybe its time I quit being so cheap.

I got some Sidi Adventure's to wear on my F800GS and they are really comfortable and sturdy boots. Fit is pretty much true to size with the Sidi's.

Ouch! As I have been told, dress for the crash not the ride. Glad it wasn't any worse than that.

Wtf? When did you do this? I mean, it really is an improvement but it looks like it hurt.

Last spring I found a dbl. wash the hard way.
Got the front tire up in time for the first one but bounced out of that one so hard I cased the second one.
The front number plate hit me in the goggs. I did have a bar pad on and all riding gear.
Guess I got lucky on that one and need to slow it down a bit.
