Unfortunately, with the high costs of health care and other benefits as well as the cost of the multitude of regulations, this is probably the beginning of more of the same with other companies.

behalf of the union? seriously? couldn't the union have also tried to help the company stay afloat instead of just drain them dry?
Tacoma Said - If Scott he asks you to go on a hike, ask careful questions like "Is it going to be on a trail?" "What are the chances it will kill me?" etc. Maybe "Will there be sack-biting ants along the way?"

I had just finished having an argument with one of my friends who was arguing just that point but not tongue in cheek and I obviously missed the sarcasm... I am going to miss my yearly Twinky... I think it is the only thing that has kept me alive so far with it preservatives and.. yeah preservatives.

I'll bet Sara Lee owns them by this time next week.

Dear Unions: Well, you got what you wanted...now 18,500 people are unemployed - was it worth it?

Unions are a plague that needs to just go away.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

I stocked up on a few cases of twinkies JUST in case they really do go the way of the dodo bird. The hostess outlet had them on sale for $0.25 per 2-pack and the soft cookies were $2 per case (17 6-packs). If they stick around, I'll be hosting a massive twinkie party at my place. lol

Walmart plans to have Twinkies in 3 thousand stores come Sunday.

    Union successfully busted.
