You mean posting for the glory/ego.... I think that has already been covered. Personally I don't have a problem with the glory/ego aspect, but some do.

nice one1 well i named fuzzy balls because of lots of moss balls that drop onto you as you are rappelling... and i found poop chute as its the most smallest watershed/drainage on maui.

Don't forget Ka-Ka canyon as well. There's also "wet Dreams" that we haven't named.

In light of history and the excellent talents of the old ones and geologic changes over time I doubt much modern exploration is the "first" of anything. People point out our sophisticated equipment but remember rockfalls occur and are washed away. Logs fall down, the old ones could have woven ropes, etc-- even caves, some entrances were probably bigger, or other entrances totally collapsed and became hidden. Early folks were much more connected to the land as it was their very survival and were more engaged as a total lifestyle immersion.

wow looks like those Maui canyoneers have more fun than Utahns, those names are so funny!!! Ice probably has to retrain considering that the state is pretty consrvative, I heard there was a guy naming climbing routes with sex names and I think he was having trouble in putting those in a climbing book! butt probably the emperor knows more about!!!!
