Escalante or Capitol Reef Recommendations
Anyone willing to recommend a few beginner technical slots near Escalante and or Capitol Reef? Headed there the last week of October. I have taken the ACA technical canyoneering course from Rick at Excursions but don't have much experience elsewhere. Thanks.

Buy Micheal Kelsy's "Technical Slot Canyoneering"...It has all the best ones in those areas with ratings, directions, the whole shebang. Even if some come in here with specific slots, that book will likely tell you how to get there.

That book sounds like a good idea. I recommend Cassidy Arch Canyon. It's a blast and it's a super simple one.

For a beginner slot, try Egypt 3.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Look up Burro Wash in Capitol Reef. Assuming you are familiar with climb-Utah.com or canyoneeringusa.com?
