Quandary Direct Video Sept 1, 2012

This is the shortened version of a video of Quandary Canyon. It is private on youtube. I hope to only get Bogley traffic to view it. The conditions can be found on Candition.com. It was a 16 hour epic. We took our time. Tell me what you think.

Thanks. Your Knotted Rope video was my inspiration to do this loop.

Why did you crop the video? Kinda defeats the purpose of HD doesn't it?

16 hours? you guys do two laps?

Windows live movie maker automatically "crops" it when saving in "HD" mode. Worst editing software ever . . .

It was our first time in this area. We could do it again in 10-12 hours knowing what to expect. We had route finding issues in a few places, had way too much gear (that got wet = 45 lbs pack), waited out a rain storm, and dropped back into Quandary too early on the exit resulting in an unclimb of the two rappels (as in jman's video) in the dark, and we parked at the main road cause my car couldn't get the the dead car. Yeah, it was a long day but an epic. experience with the route and area was a key to efficiency.

If you've got the project saved still, republish it. But there's a project tab where you can choose 16:9 or 4:3, and you can also save the video at 60 frames per second if you create the saving profile, don't hit the "recommended settings for this project". The black box around the edge is a result of using the 4:3 dimensions while producing a 16:9 film.

Trust me, it can produce full HD :)

Here are mine, all edited with Windows Live Movie Maker for the past 2 years:

Go ahead and reproduce it with those settings, I think you'll be very happy with the software.
