Yankee Doodle - HD Video
On the way home from Zion last weekend we hit up Yankee Doodle with family and friends. This allowed me the chance to make a video of the canyon and add to the growing number of video's in my ever expanding archive.
As always... the best and most accurate canyon beta on the planet is available here:

enjoy the show....

Nice! I was about to give you a "party foul" for not doing the big rap at the beginning, but I see you included it in your beta so all is forgiven.
Your safety is not my responsibility.

We had a large group and a couple of them were noobs.... so we did the slot in the easiet way possible. Having the noobs along was good for me as it allowed me to see what a great school room canyon it is. It also made me appreciate the canyon to a much higher degree with time to enjoy the obstacles. Every time I have done this slot in the past it was with a small group of very experienced canyoneers and we just blew through it in about 45 minutes car to car.
One thing I decided about Yankee Doodle is that it is a good test piece for Zion canyoneers that want to up their game in the Roost, North Wash or Escalante. If you can do Yankee Doodle with only the entrance rappel and downclimb and partner assist the remainder of the canyon you will do well when you venture outside of the comfy bolted confines of Zion.

Another excellent video.
Would this be a little kid friendly canyon? I think mine might like it.

I consider this a very kid/noob friendly canyon, provided they have competent leadership.

Nice video!
I went through like a week before and water levels were so much lowerYou can't see anything from a car; you've got to get out of the goddamn
contraption and walk, better yet crawl, on hands and knees, over the sandstone
and through the thornbrush and cactus. When traces of blood begin to mark your
trail, you'll see something, maybe. ~Edward Abbey

Good Video. In regards to kid friendly, We did this with my 7 year old, 11 year old, and 15 year old. No issues other than they complained about the heat on the hike out.
