Pictures from Day 1. I finished 6th. Could have done better, but not bad on my 1150 GS. Most of the top guys were on the 800 GS. Wish I was...

Aint nothing wrong with 6th., Very respectable. If you want to ride let's ride and if you want an attitude well we just need to do some more ridding.

That guy from NM on the white 800, Is that the new one? Nice looking machine.
But what I really want to know is?
Did anyone beat you out with a big GS or was it just the 800s?
Oh by the way we will have to figure out a different way to get your ass some fish tacos.
If you want to ride let's ride and if you want an attitude well we just need to do some more ridding.

I thought there might be an HP-2 in there somewhere. Crazy bikes they are. But it's hard to compete against two of them and then two 800s.
The dude on the GS1200 must of had some madd skills. Like you.If you want to ride let's ride and if you want an attitude well we just need to do some more ridding.

GS Trophy 2012 - Qualifier in Moab, UT
Those HP2's are awesome! There was a slick rock step up that we had to climb on day 1. It had a couple lips, so I had to power through it and it really pounded my front rim. One of the HP2's was behind me. I watched him go up it and over the lips. The suspension sucked up those bumps like it was nothing. It just floated right up! Wow!

So did they let any of the old GX or cross countries or whatever they called them 650s in?
I know I read that the 450s were a no go.If you want to ride let's ride and if you want an attitude well we just need to do some more ridding.

Yeah, everything was a go but the 450's. There were some 650's around.

Found this one on Facebook tonight. It was from a 200 point (extra credit) special. You had to ride through 75 feet of really deep sand. Pretty challenging on a 500 pound pig. Whole lotta throttle!
Some great ones in this album: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...8489925&type=1
