Pine Creek September 1, 2012
You can't see anything from a car; you've got to get out of the goddamn
contraption and walk, better yet crawl, on hands and knees, over the sandstone
and through the thornbrush and cactus. When traces of blood begin to mark your
trail, you'll see something, maybe. ~Edward Abbey

Our trip through Pine Creek was great.
We started off a bit late and flew through the canyon yet we were able to enjoy the wonderful scenes that Pine Creek offers.
The water levels were high, which was much better from my previous trip through earlier in the year when it was bone dry. I like the swims a bunch more. Down in the longer swim we were treated to a group ahead of us singing Pippens song from The Return of the King. It was sick down there with the perfect acoustic sound. At the last rappel we had to wait for a group of 6, not the singers, to get down and they caused a huge jam there as three other groups caught up with us and had to wait.
Other than that last part it was an amazing time in Pine and I'm not sure why people always act like, "oh we JUST did pine creek" its such a cool canyon. Why does it have this rep as a lesser quality canyon? You can't see anything from a car; you've got to get out of the goddamn
