Santa Clara Flood Cleanup
I went over to a friends house yesterday to help out. His house is just across the street from Dutchmans Market (downstream!) and took the brunt of the surge. His walls inside showed water levels of about 4 1/2 feet inside the home. Pretty much everything inside is a total loss. Mud inside was 6-12" deep. Fortunately no injuries or loss of life (one of his chickens got covered in mud, but will be OK), and volunteers were abundant. I left around 9PM and the house was empty and most of the mud had been pushed outdoors. Now the work begins for many. Trying to salvage anything of value. I don't know if these panoramas I'm sending will work, but I had to put my iphone away as not to ruin the devise from the water and mud.

What a mess. It either is drought or an onslaught of rain here in our desert.

I know that guy! He has a black and white dog right? I always let my Pitt play with him as we are jogging down that block. Bummer about he mud, just glad no one was hurt. Was a heck of a storm we had yesterday.
Your safety is not my responsibility.
