    Battle Creek Falls

Today we hiked Battle Creek Falls in Pleasant Grove. The truth is I never post TRs on Bogley because I feel like mine are never good enough. Sadly this post is no exception, but I have been wanting to rappel down the falls at Battle Creek since I first saw it, and today I finally did. So you are all going to hear about it :)

    Here I am mid-rappel

This was my wife Ruth's first time rappelling. It terrified her, but she did great.

Technically for 4 years :), but only recently have I purchased all my own equipment and getting into it more seriously.

When I first discovered the sport of Canyoneering, it really appealed to me. No sport had ever seemed to beautiful, and I really wanted to get into it. Now that I am not "quite" as poor as I once was, I can finally afford the gear.

There was a guy I walked passed after my first rappel who upon seeing people rappelling said "I need to get rappelling equipment and people one of these people" and I remember having that thought previously. I am very glad that I didn't just say that, but instead have acted upon it.

I forget that you are finally on Bogley now Linds, or I would have tagged you in the post.

Just a quick question. What's that anchor system like at the top? Just wondering what you would recommend taking up the trail?

    Thanks

Depending on where you rap from, there are both bolts and natural anchors. IF rappelling in the falls there are plenty of trees around that can be used as anchors :D

As @Kuya said there are bolts up top, but we used webbing around a tree.
