The Squeeze -- 25 Aug 2012

[Kuya]

Visited the Queeze this weekend! On friday we packed our sleeping bags in, and camped at the last rappel. Come morning, we left our sleeping bags there to be picked up on our way back, and started our march up the Moroni Slopes. Our first view of the canyon was stunning! It a really gnarly and rugged place! It was BEAUTIFUL! After dropping into the canyon, we were pleasantly surprised with lots and lots of amazing tight and narrow slots filled to the brim with water! We were hoping to get to play with our new pothole escape tools, but the water made escaping out of pot holes unnecessary. However, we found the water to make for a SUPER FUN romp in a beautiful slot canyon. All in all, this was a AWESOME canyon. Can't wait to do it again, but with less water just to experience it in all conditions.




My buddies shoe broke! We repaired it with some webbing and he hiked the whole canyon with broken sandals!

wow! lucky to see it with so much water. i've done it a few times and had only a few stinky potholes here and there. Thanks for the view!

Fantastic! Been through the Squeeze a couple times, both with low water conditions. I would like to see it full like that. Nice trip report.

Very cool! We just did this last month, and had almost no water. The keeper was a fun challenge. Ready to swap ya, and try it full next time. Thanks for posting!

Thanks All! It was so fun, Wish we had time to do it again! And I would totally swap ya'll now. I can't wait to do it again in low water conditions to experience it that way. But I can't imagine it being any more fun than when it is full of water. All the jumping into potholes was awesome!
