Imlay conditions
We have a permit and a plan to do Imlay this Saturday. Anyone been in there since the recent rains? Potholes filled up? Is it worth taking a second vehicle down from SLC in order to do the full route rather than sneak it? Hard to justify the gas, etc when there's only 4 of us. Thanks in advance...

Been raining hard the last few days, I'd guess water has flowed but that is guessing.
Everyone owes it to themselves to try several routes into Imlay. I now prefer from the top.
There is the slight problem of setting up cars but well worth the effort and time.

I went through Imlay on Friday, the pools in the upper half of the canyon were holding a lot of water, the lower half with potholes was pretty dry. I recall swimming only a few times in the lower half and having 2 pothole escapes with swimming starts. Two of us wore 5mm wetsuits and it was to much, a 3mm was perfect for our third.
Conditions could change in a week though, so who knows if it will fill up by this weekend.
