Lady Mountain / July 6th

Thought I would share a video of our trip up Lady Mountain last Friday (7/6). Being that is was early July it was as expected...HOTTER than blazes! We made it up past the Moki Steps, the Chimney, the Corner and the NEVER-ENDING Staircase in decent time. We stopped just short of the top in the Cougar's Den for a quick lunch. As we were finishing up and working to Leave No Trace...a thunderstorm started rolling down canyon. That got us moving a bit quicker to the summit where we grabbed a few pictures and headed back down. The rain started falling hard at the top, but quickly tapered. In reality the cloud cover was a nice respite from the pounding sun. We made double sure of our footing given the afternoon rain.

The group did a great job on the decent and was rewarded by a refreshing dip in the Virgin River afterwards!
