Just thought I'd say hello to everyone here.

I've only recently got into hiking for health reasons, but I've fallen in love. I've never been one to go sweat at a gym, and a condition that I have lessens the more active that I am, although back issues cause me to have to take it easy, which is why I enjoy hiking so much. Since I've started, I haven't had any issues with my condition (it relates to stomach and intestinal problems) and my back issues have lessened considerably.

I'm here looking for tips and advice on all things related to trails. I've never really considered canyoneering, but it might be something I'd like to get into as well.

My goal is to travel the Camino de Santiago by 2015. It's a 500 mile pilgrimage from France to Spain featured in the movie The Way. If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing it, it's a must!
