How to instructions for interacting in forums?

So I'm a newbie to Bogley and feel slightly stupid.... I keep seeing replies with quotes from other comments. How do I do that instead of typing out the exact quote I want? I feel like it's a really easy solution that I'm somehow missing.

OK guys...I know somehow I'm going to get lassoed into this comedy routine, but I have a legitimate question.

Reply to a post? No problem. However, how do you only quote part of a post? Someone writes a paragraph and I only want to "highlight" one sentence. I've tried every way to Sunday and I can't figure it out.

Deleting everything around it can't be the answer...

Yup... click quote and delete out what you don't want... or.... cut and paste and place the sentence between quote tags located in the header.
