Very Late trip Report (1month overdue)

All of our favorite drainages were flooding on Maui. Most UNrunnable. I promised friends that I'd take them out, however. Although it was done a few times before within a couple of weeks.. it was time again to attack White-rock Canyon with an insane amount of water. It was definitely high flowing.. more than i've ever seen it. And it was still dumping rain on us every hour or so.

Turned out to be the most funnest canyon i've done in my life. I had my visiting crew from the US Mainland... JJ, Anthony, and Brooke... along with my wonderful girlfriend. I will say, it's an experience of a lifetime.

Credit for the pics are from the best canyoneering photographer i've ever had on my Team.... Anthony Dunster. And credit for the most fun I've ever had in a canyon goes to everyone that came on that Day. Melissa, JJ, Anthony, Brooke, and myself. Come back soon guys!

First pic is an 80ft waterfall. I had to setup a high-water side anchor.
    2. Hiking up a high flowing stream, just to get to the approach.. or its apart of approach.
3-5 captures the moment.. canyoneers gettin together to have fun
Last pic is a 90ft waterfall... almost as wide as it is tall.

Doesn't get much better than that view! Forget the Na Pali Coast Trail, next time it's Maui! Then again, anyone explored the Na Pali (especially the valley at the end...Kalalau?) or Waimea? Sensitive areas there for sure, though as beautiful as they come.

I'm honored to have been able to be on this most awesome trip ever. And it was the most epic canyon I've descended of the 27 canyons I've descended so far! I'm also honored to be the 8th person ever to descend this canyon! I hope to get back out there sooner than later!
Oh and here's one more awesome picture from this canyon.

Thanks for the TR and mention Rene. As I've said before, by far the most gorgeous canyon I've ever been in - definitely a trip I won't forget. Thanks for a killer time! I'll hit ya up as soon as I'm back that way (hopefully sooner than later)
